There’s No Reason To Be Afraid Of Electric Blankets Anymore

I admit it: I never liked the idea of an electric blanket. When I was a kid, it just didn’t make sense to me to cover my body with electrical wires concealed in a rough, lumpy and ugly blanket. I didn’t exactly have a phobia of them, but I thought they were a bad idea.

Then when I was in my 20s, I heard stories of how dangerous they really were. People became concerned that they interfered with the body since there was so much radiation from the electrical wires. Some even worried since a bunched up electric blanket could cause a fire.

Then, manufacturers got smart and started making electric blankets safer.

Now, most electric blankets are completely safe. The best electric blanket I could find for my bed is one that looks good, feels comfortable without those big lumps like they used to have and is something I actually feel comfortable using.

Lots of things have changed as technology has moved on, and not all of those changes are for the better. But today’s stringent government safety regulations and important advances in generating heat with electricity are really improving the way electric blankets work.

Perhaps the best use for the best electric blanket I could find for my home is to warm the bed before I get into it. That’s actually healthy because it eliminates the stress on your body from getting into a cold bed.

All I’m saying is that I’ve given electric blankets a second chance now that they’re safer and better — and I hope you will too. They’re not what they were when I was a kid, and that’s a very good thing.

Today’s electric blanket are safe and effective ways to improve your comfort in bed and allow you to use less energy on heating your home. That means that when you use one, you can get a better night’s sleep than ever before and also save yourself some money.
