Save Money On Sleep Aids With A Simple Noise Machine

With so many interruptions from outdoor sounds, pets and family members, many people around the world are having trouble sleeping. Add in the fact that many of us suffer from aches and pains that keep us awake at night and you soon realize how much money is being wasted every night on medications to help us sleep.

But there’s a better way that’s less expensive too. A one-time investment in an affordable white noise machine can help you concentrate on sleeping rather than on the things that go bump in the night. You may even find that once you relax and are no longer worried that every little sound will wake you up, some of those aches and pains that interrupt your sleep will go away too.

In fact, neck and shoulder pain have always been a problem for me at night. But since I’ve been using a white noise machine and sleeping better overall, I have fewer symptoms. I don’t take sleep medication — either over-the-counter or prescription — at all anymore. And I only take something like Tylenol or Aleve at night when my neck is already hurting before bed from something I’ve done during the day.

Some white noise machines only generate one or two sounds. Others can generate a variety of noise patterns that mimic natural sounds, for example. It’s up to you to decide which machine you get, but it’s probably best to choose something that’s as versatile as possible.

Here’s the bottom line: if you’re waking up multiple times during the night, there’s something you can do to sleep better. In some cases, that may mean taking a sleep aid or some pain medicine. But for me, I’m fine most nights when I can block out noise with a white noise machine.

My white noise generator isn’t a miracle machine, but when I wake up completely refreshed, it can certainly seem like it is. Great results for a small one time investment seem right to me.
