Forget Beard Transplants And Make The Best Of What You Have

As technology advances, there are more and more opportunities to make a mistake with your life than ever before. Did you know that some guys are spending thousands to get beard transplants? To me, that just seems silly.

But it’s possible. There are clinics in New York and other places popping up that specialize in giving young guys with poor facial hair growth a chance to have a full beard. If that seems strange, weird or vane to you, I think you’re on the right track.

I can think of at least three reasons that beard transplants aren’t a good idea:

Facial hair changes over a lifetime. As you age, your beard will fill in more. I’ve found that out by watching my husband’s face change as he’s aged. When he was younger, he could hardly grow a beard. Now, his is pretty good.

Beards won’t always be in style. Shaved faces come into style every few years, and a beard transplant leaves scars. If you think you could ever possibly want a shaved face, forget about having a beard transplant.

There’s nothing wrong with what you have. Even though beards are in style now, there’s nothing wrong with having a shaved face, a mustache, a goatee, big sideburns or whatever you can grow. Rather than joining the crowd, you can be an individual.

Fortunately, there are only a few places that are doing beard transplants right now, so your opportunities for this are limited. But I say you should forget about messing with your face and leave it like it is.

Oh, and there’s one more thing: there are guys and gals who like all kinds. So if you’re planning a beard transplant to help you attract a mate, remember that there’s someone who will like you however you are. People aren’t all the same — and aren’t supposed to be.
